Brief History of Equestrian Sport in Kazakhstan
1956–1993
Since the establishment of the first equestrian school in 1956, Kazakh riders actively competed in all USSR Championships until 1993, winning multiple medals.

Since 1998, Kazakhstan regularly hosts FEI World Cup Qualifiers.

In 1999, Kazakhstan initiated the creation of the Central Asian League of the World Cup.

The first winner (1999–2000 season): IMCM Petr Solovyev.

Kazakh riders became prize-winners of several World Cup Stages.

At the Asian Championship in Seoul (1999), Kazakhstan took 2nd team place; Petr Solovyev placed 3rd individually.

In 2000 (Beijing), V. Gulevikh was 2nd individually at the East Asian Championship.

At the 2005 Asian Championship in Taiwan, Kazakhstan’s team ranked 1st.
