Kazakhstan Cup 2026: First Day of Show Jumping Competition Concludes

The Kazakhstan Show Jumping Cup is currently underway at the Argymak Equestrian and Wellness Complex in Astana. Athletes from across the country are taking part in the national competition, competing over courses featuring obstacles ranging from 100 to 130 cm.

“Today’s competition is not only about sporting results, but also an important platform for the further development of show jumping in Kazakhstan. National-level competitions allow experienced athletes to improve their skills, while giving young riders valuable competition experience and an opportunity to establish themselves.

In show jumping, success depends not only on the athlete’s preparation. Behind every successful jump are trust, mutual understanding, and the daily work of the rider and horse. This partnership is what makes our sport unique and spectacular,” said Dauren Akhmetov, Vice President of the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main objectives of the Cup are to further develop equestrian sport in Kazakhstan, improve the skills of national team athletes, raise the professional level of judges, and identify promising riders and horses.

“For the Federation, supporting the younger generation, improving the professional level of athletes, developing judging, and enhancing the culture of competition organization remain among our key priorities,” Akhmetov said.

The Cup program consists of six classes. Men and women compete on equal terms. Depending on the difficulty of the course, the minimum age of riders is 12 or 14 years. The minimum age of horses is also determined by the requirements of each class and is set at 6 or 7 years.

On the first day of competition, athletes competed in three classes featuring obstacles of 100, 110, and 120 cm.

Class No. 1 — 100 cm

1st place: Amira Kabzhanova and Shah (“Kokpar Astana” Club)

2nd place: Arman Kazhakat and Shelby (Independent)

3rd place: Karina Nai and Firmach (“Kokpar Astana” Club)

Class No. 2 — 110 cm

1st place: Yerzhan Korabay and Burkit (Prestige Horse Club)

2nd place: Anuar Dosmailov and Google MeTH (NAIMIR)

3rd place: Azamat Khasenov and Lady in Red AST (“Kokpar Astana” Club)

Class No. 3 — 120 cm

1st place: Yana Zhemchuzhina and Bavaria (NAIMIR)

2nd place: Anuar Dosmailov and A’Corvette (NAIMIR)

3rd place: Anuar Dosmailov and Google MeTH (NAIMIR)
