Trick riding

General Description:
Trick riding (Dzhigitovka) is an acrobatic equestrian art that includes complex stunts performed at a gallop.
History:
Its roots trace back to the military traditions of Turkic and Caucasian peoples. The tricks were used for reconnaissance, combat, and displays of bravery.
Internationally:
There is no official federation, but trick riding is regularly showcased at ethnosport festivals and shows.
In Kazakhstan:
Considered a part of national heritage. It is being developed through cultural programs and youth equestrian clubs.
Interesting Fact:
Some tricks require the rider to hang under the horse’s belly or instantly change positions while the horse is galloping.
