Show Jumping: Where Skill and Spirit Are Tested

Shyngys Malikzhadar is a Candidate for Master of Sports and a member of the Kazakhstan national show jumping team.
He began equestrian sports at the age of 9, starting with national horse races (baige), and since the age of 14, he has focused on show jumping.
His father, Shalkar Namazov—a Master of Sports of the USSR in eventing and currently a show jumping coach in Shymkent—supported him in pursuing the sport. Since 2018, Shyngys has been training under the guidance of Aset Tolkumbekov.
Not only is he achieving sporting success, but he is also building a career as a coach. Shyngys believes that success depends not only on a rider’s preparation but also on a deep understanding of the horse.
Currently, he is competing with a 9-year-old stallion named Nesme, imported from Europe. This year, the pair won first place in the 130 cm class at the Kazakhstan Cup. Their next goal is to win a Grand Prix.
