Para-dressage

General Description:
Para-dressage is an adapted form of dressage for people with disabilities. The main focus is on technique and the rider’s connection with the horse.
History:
It has been developing since the 1980s and became part of the Paralympic Games in 1996.
Internationally:
Competitions are held under the FEI. Athletes compete in five classification grades depending on their diagnosis.
In Kazakhstan:
Still at an early stage of development. It is actively used both for rehabilitation and as a sport.
Interesting Fact:
Some riders use voice commands or adapted equipment to control the horse.
