General Description:
Show jumping is an Olympic equestrian discipline where the rider and horse aim to clear a series of obstacles without knocking down any bars and within a set time.

History:
It originated in the 19th century in Europe and was included in the Olympic Games in 1900. Today, it is one of the most popular equestrian sports worldwide.

Internationally:
Under the umbrella of the FEI (Fédération Équestre Internationale), major tournaments are held — the World Cup, European and World Championships, and the Olympic Games.

In Kazakhstan:
Training bases are being developed, national tournaments are held, and youth teams participate in international competitions.

Interesting Fact:
The highest official obstacle ever jumped in a show jumping competition was 2.47 meters — a world record set in 1949 and still unbeaten.
