President of the Kazakhstan NOC Meets with Head of the Equestrian Federation

Today, the President of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, Gennady Golovkin, met with Rustam Bayaliyev, President of the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues related to the development of equestrian sports in Kazakhstan, including the preparation and support of athletes for international competitions. Special attention was given to infrastructure development, enhancing the training level of the national team, and promoting equestrian sports among the general public.

They also explored opportunities for joint initiatives aimed at advancing equestrian sports, strengthening Kazakhstan’s international presence, and raising the prestige of Olympic disciplines in this sport. Plans for preparing the Federation’s team for upcoming tournaments and expanding international cooperation were also addressed.

“Thanks to the support of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kazakhstan successfully hosted the World Nomad Games. The Head of State emphasized the contribution of the nomads of the Great Steppe to global progress, their role in the domestication of the horse, and the development of equestrian culture. For Kazakhstan, equestrian sport is more than just competition — it is a part of our national heritage and a path toward integration on the international stage. Our goal is to strengthen the country’s position in the global sports community, nurture young talents, and promote disciplines such as eventing, show jumping, and dressage,” — noted Rustam Bayaliyev.
