Astana to host large-scale international equestrian competitions

From May 30 to June 1, the Argymak Equestrian Wellness Complex in Astana will host major international equestrian competitions — the Eurasian League FEI World Cup Jumping Stage (CSI1*-W) and the International Dressage Tournament (CDI 1*).

Top national teams from six countries, both near and far abroad, are expected to participate. The event is held in accordance with international standards under the auspices of the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI).

More than 60 of the best athletes in show jumping and dressage are expected to showcase their skills over three days, tackling various routes and dressage tests of different difficulty levels.

Show jumping is an Olympic equestrian discipline in which a rider and horse navigate a course with obstacles of varying height and shape. The goal is to complete the course without faults and in the shortest possible time.

Dressage is considered the highest form of equestrian art, where the harmony and precision between rider and horse are demonstrated in the arena. Judges evaluate grace, accuracy, and the quality of execution.

Hosting a stage of the FEI World Cup in Astana highlights the growing interest in equestrian sports in Kazakhstan and provides local athletes with an opportunity to shine on the international stage. This is a landmark event not only for the country but also for all fans of equestrianism. Competitions of this level help Kazakhstani riders improve their skills and compete for qualification spots in international tournaments.
