Young Riders Achieve Outstanding Results at Competitions in Chelyabinsk

From April 16 to 20, regional show jumping competitions were held in the city of Chelyabinsk at the OBUDO “SShOR Rifei” equestrian center. A team from Kazakhstan was invited to participate in the event.
Over the course of two competition days, our athletes took part in various categories, including children, juniors, adults, and young horses.
Special attention should be given to the participants in the “Children” category (ages 12–14). For many of them, this was their first international competition. Despite the nerves, they handled the challenge with confidence and delivered strong performances.
As a result, Kazakh show jumpers achieved:
-
12 first-place finishes
-
10 second-place finishes
-
11 third-place finishes
The successful performance of our team highlights the high level of training among Kazakhstani athletes and their strong ambition to reach new heights in equestrian sport.
This competition once again demonstrated the importance of supporting the development of equestrian sports among children. Early exposure to international events not only builds technical skill but also nurtures confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship — essential qualities for future champions.
Kazakhstan has shown strong potential in this area. With increasing participation from young riders and growing interest from regional equestrian clubs, the foundation is being laid for a new generation of athletes who will represent the country with pride on the global stage.
