Kazakhstan Riders Take First and Second Place at International Show Jumping Event in Poland

On 29 August, Kazakhstan’s national team riders achieved a double victory at the Wierzbna Biały Las CSI1,3* international show jumping competition in Poland.
In the Big Tour, representatives of Kazakhstan claimed the top two positions in the final standings, recording the two best results of the class.
Raisa Sokolenko, riding Chevalier, took first place. An official awards ceremony was held in honour of the Kazakh rider. The National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan was played during the ceremony, marking a memorable moment for Kazakhstani equestrian sport on the international stage.
The class was held under Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) rules in a single speed round.
Raisa Sokolenko’s performance was particularly impressive, as she finished 5.59 seconds ahead of her closest rival.
Oleg Sokolenko, riding Shenanigan, delivered a consistent and reliable performance. His clear round and second-place finish completed a remarkable one-two result for Kazakhstan at the international event.
Poland’s Malgorzata Koszucka, riding V-Querida of Vigo Z, also completed the course without penalties. With a time of 65.57 seconds, she finished third. Austria’s Christian Rhomberg followed in fourth with a time of 65.59 seconds.
Only seven of the 15 horse-and-rider combinations managed to complete the course without penalties. The remaining competitors accumulated between 4 and 16 penalty points.
Participation in international competitions at various levels provides Kazakhstan’s athletes and sport horses with valuable experience on European courses, helps improve competitive skills, and contributes to systematic preparation for the major international events of the season.
